    • Worst Car EVER!!!!!

By Chris on Sunday, November 15, 2020

      2.0
So when I bought my 2020 Kia Soul back in May 2019 I thought it was going to be the best decision I ever made considering it was my first brand new car ever. It was an exciting experience. When October came around it obviously started to cool down. The car was doing great with 5000 miles. But the transmission starting jerking. Okay, no problem take it to the dealer they say it was fine. So I drove it some more and still the same transmission jerking issue. Take it in again to have it looked at and they said once again it was fine. So I’m driving down the road and the car comes to an idle and I swear it sounded like an old VW diesel with the lifters tapping like cray. Took off and everything was good. I was going around a round about and next thing I know it made that sound again and the car completely stalled out on me. I was pretty upset with it only having 9000 miles. Took it into the dealer the next day and they said it needed oil because there was none on the dipstick. And note I’m still having transmission issues. I eventually got rid of it. But what I’m saying is if you want a good car that won’t break down on you I do not recommend the 2020 model Kia Soul. Worst car I’ve ever owned by far.
    • I traded my 2015 Kia Sportage in for the Soul.

My 2015 Kia was a great car, dependable and without need for repairs in 5+ years. My new Soul feels as big inside as the Sportage. It drives wonderful, gas mileage is even better. My handicapped Mom could not get in the higher seat of the Sportage. There's plenty room for her wheelchair too. I love the features, especially the back up camera.
    • Hey, it's YELLOW

Purchased late June 2019. At the time I was driving a 2013 Soul and had taken it in for an oil change. Noticed the new Souls were available in solar yellow. The color of car I had been wanting for the past 30 years. Also the newer models had so much more bells and whistles that I have yet to figure out completely as there is no CD player and getting music to my sad phone is a bother. All in all I love the car. Seems bigger (though it's not) Has enough power to trust. Only drawback is that the AC doesn't seem as powerful as my last one. I'm only guessing that perhaps it's due to the vents for the rear passengers that are located under the seats. Don't often have rear passengers so I wish I could shut those vents and have more up where I need it. Oh, and you think you closed the doors but the dash says otherwise so you have to get out and re-close them.
